Brian D. Flanagan is Founder and President of Property Valuation Advisors, Inc. (PVA). Property Valuation Advisors' corporate headquarters are located in Chicago. Mr. Flanagan has over thirty years of experience in real estate analysis, appraisal and valuation, deal structuring, property ownership and portfolio valuation. Mr. Flanagan graduated from the Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Economics. He earned his Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio with a concentration in Finance. Mr. Flanagan has earned his MAI designation (Member, Appraisal Institute #8481) and AI-GRS designation (Appraisal Institute-General Review Specialist), is a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser (IL#553-000103 and eight other states), Associate Member of CCIM, a Member of the Illinois Coalition of Appraisal Professionals, a Member of The Ohio State University Alumni Association, Member of Alpha Sigma Nu (The Honorary Society of Jesuit Institutions of Higher Learning) and a Member of the Xavier University Alumni Association. Internationally, a Candidate Member in the Appraisal Institute of Canada.
STEVEN F. BOWERS
Steven F. Bowers is Senior Vice President of Property Valuation Advisors, Inc. Mr. Bowers has over thirty years of experience in real estate management, development, and investment. Mr. Bowers graduated from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Biology with extensive course work in Mathematics and Chemistry. He also earned his Masters of Management Degree (M.M.) from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Evanston, Illinois, with specialization in Accounting and Finance.
MIGUEL A. ROJAS
Miguel A. Rojas is a Director at Property Valuation Advisors, Inc. (PVA). Property Valuation Advisors’ corporate headquarters are located in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Rojas graduated from the University of Chicago, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Science with a specialization in Neuroscience focusing particularly in the cellular and biochemical aspects of neurons. The University of Chicago is the world leader in Nobel Prize winners, as eighty-one Nobel Laureates have been faculty members, students or researchers at the University of Chicago at some point in their careers.
Mr. Rojas has over ten years of experience in real estate concentrating primarily in the commercial real estate appraisal and valuation. Before joining Property Valuation Advisors, Inc., Mr. Rojas was a research analyst for the Multicenter Hospitalist Project stationed at the University of Chicago Hospitals. The project focused on the impact of a class of attending physicians known as “Hospitalists” on doctor-patient communication, health solutions, and economic outcomes on general medicine services.
Areas of specialization for Mr. Rojas include discounted cash flow analysis and income capitalization, lease analysis, market studies, report presentation, and feasibility. Mr. Rojas concentrates on appraisals and valuation issues. His background includes the valuation of real estate for multiple applications specific to market value appraisals, investment advisory services, and specialized valuations related to office buildings, a variety of retail centers and retail type properties, shopping malls, small and large-scale industrial properties and manufacturing facilities, special use medical facilities, manufactured home communities, and developmental land valuation. Mr. Rojas has completed projects throughout the United States on behalf of domestic investment firms, REITs, pension funds and their advisors, financial institutions and insurance companies.
MAGGIE FLANAGAN
Maggie Flanagan coordinates the administrative and marketing duties at Property Valuation Advisors, Inc. (PVA) in Chicago, Illinois. Maggie received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Wheelock College in Boston, Massachusetts. Previously, Maggie spent 15 years in the advertising industry selling television air time as an account executive for Petry Television, Inc. She has been with PVA for the past eight years focusing on demographic analysis, zoning issues, site visits and real estate taxation. In addition, she coordinates marketing materials for potential clients and has served as an asset manager.
ROBERT HILSABECK
Robert C. Hilsabeck is an associate appraiser at Property Valuation Advisors, Inc. (PVA) in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Hilsabeck recently entered the appraisal profession after working as a structural engineer. He has successfully completed the following coursework: Basic Appraisal Principles, Basic Appraisal Procedures and the 15 Hour National USPAP Equivalent Course. Furthermore, Mr. Hilsabeck has passed the Illinois Associate Real Estate Appraiser Examination in February 2013. His short-term goal is to obtain his Certified General Appraiser license.
